Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

1926-2022

I am sure that you cannot have missed the news from last Thursday night of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.  At this sad time, we remember that the long reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been notable for her strong sense of duty and her complete determination to dedicate her life to her throne and to her people.

For so many people, she became the one constant point in a rapidly changing world as society and the world at large changed beyond recognition.  Her success in steering the monarchy through some turbulent times is even more remarkable, given that, at the time of her birth, no-one would have thought that to take the throne would be her destiny.

As a community we would like to collectively express our sadness and gratitude for Her Majesty The Queen. We know what she meant to us and societies all over the world. But, most importantly, we must never forget that she was also a Mummy, a wife, a sister, an Aunty, a Grandmother and so much more to many others.

As a school we will continue to find ways to mark this momentous occasion as we reflect on the late Queen's life, love and servitude.
